The Author
Kristy Pantin was born on an island called Trinidad in the West Indies in 1977, and later immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada where she currently lives with her three daughters. She progressed from writing diaries, to poetry, to fiction at a very young age and eventually decided at age thirty three that she was ready to publish a book.
Her first book, a romance titled ‘The Immortal MacLeod: Book 1 in the MacLeod Series‘, was published in September of 2011, and she became a finalist in the ForeWord Reviews Book of the Year Award for this novel.
Kristy also loves writing children’s books and will soon be publishing a series called ‘The McDoodles’, which is written in a Dr. Seuss style and humorously based on the lives of her own family members.
Hi kristy!
I’m a filmmaker from winnipeg who is making a documentary about the romance novel industry with a focus on the formerly winnipeg-based romance tycoon harlequin enterprises. The project is for MRS TV’s Winnipeg On Demand. Just wondering if you might be interested in being involved with the documentary?
Do you live in winnipeg, or nearby? Can you briefly describe your experience in romance writing for me? What sort of romance “genre” do you write for? Traditional, or erotic or historical or some other kind?
Hope to hear from you,
-Aaron Zeghers
Hi Aaron,
I’m sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner but I only just noticed your comment. Still fairly new at this blogging thing. I actually took acting classes with Darcy (under the name Kristy Loewen), so I believe we have a few friends in common. If you are still in the process of making the documentary, then yes, I’d love to help you out. You can ask Darcy for my phone number and give me a call.
